CVSS v3.1 |
| Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability in Apache Juneau.
The microservice DirectoryResource does not keep request paths inside its configured root directory. When an application enables the resource's view, upload or delete settings (all off by default), a client can read, write or delete files outside the root, anywhere the server process has access.
This issue affects Apache Juneau: through 9.2.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 9.2.1, which fixes the issue. |
| Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') vulnerability in Apache Juneau.
HTML document serialization does not HTML-encode variable substitutions in the page chrome (header, nav, aside, footer and similar fields). Applications whose chrome includes request-derived variables, such as request headers, form data or path values, reflect those values unencoded, allowing cross-site scripting. The default chrome does not use request variables, so only applications that add them are affected.
This issue affects Apache Juneau: through 9.2.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 9.2.1, which fixes the issue. |
| Improper Neutralization of CRLF Sequences in HTTP Headers ('HTTP Response Splitting') vulnerability in Apache Juneau.
The Apache Juneau REST server passed response header values and redirect targets to the servlet container unchecked. An application that sets a response header or redirect target from request data could let a remote client inject header lines (where the servlet container does not itself reject CR/LF) or redirect users to an arbitrary external site. The framework itself does not build headers or redirects from request data; exposure depends on application code.
This issue affects Apache Juneau: through 9.2.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 9.2.1, which fixes the issue. Header values are now sanitized by default; applications that build redirect targets from request data must also switch from sendRedirect() to the new sendSafeRedirect(). |
| Insufficiently Protected Credentials vulnerability in Apache Juneau.
The Apache Juneau RestClient followed HTTP redirects while keeping credential headers from the original request, so a server that redirected the client to a different host or port, or from HTTPS to HTTP, could receive headers such as Authorization, Cookie, Proxy-Authorization and X-API-Key.
This issue affects Apache Juneau: through 9.2.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 9.2.1, which fixes the issue. The fix applies to HTTP clients created by the RestClient builder; applications that supply their own HttpClient must disable automatic redirects or strip credential headers on cross-origin redirects themselves. |
| Generation of Error Message Containing Sensitive Information vulnerability in Apache Juneau.
The REST server sends the internal exception class and message to clients in a "Thrown" response header on every error response, and can include internal exception messages in the error body, even when stack-trace rendering is disabled. This reveals implementation details to remote clients.
This issue affects Apache Juneau: through 9.2.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 9.2.1, which fixes the issue. |
| Insertion of Sensitive Information into Log File vulnerability in Apache Juneau.
The default REST server call logger records request headers for requests that end in a server error, without redacting them. Any client able to cause a server error gets headers such as Authorization, Cookie, Proxy-Authorization and X-API-Key written in cleartext to the application log, exposing them to anyone who can read the logs.
This issue affects Apache Juneau: through 9.2.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 9.2.1, which fixes the issue. |
| Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability in Apache Juneau.
The REST server accepts a "content" query parameter that replaces the request body, and this is enabled by default on every HTTP method, including GET. A cross-site link can therefore deliver an attacker-chosen request body to an endpoint without a CORS preflight, defeating protections that rely on the HTTP method or content type instead of an anti-CSRF token.
This issue affects Apache Juneau: through 9.2.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 9.2.1, which fixes the issue. Applications that do not use the content parameter can also set disableContentParam to true. |
| Improper control of dynamically-loaded code vulnerability in Apache Juneau.
When Apache Juneau parses a value into a property of type java.lang.Class (including parameterized forms), the default class swap loaded the named class with initialization enabled, so input naming a class on the application classpath ran that class's static initializer. The impact depends on the classes present in the deployment.
This issue affects Apache Juneau: through 9.2.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 9.2.1, which fixes the issue. |
| An OS Command Injection vulnerability was discovered in the Google Cloud DNS validation module of the OPNsense os-acme-client plugin through 4.17. The DnsGcloud::prepare() method decodes the dns_gcloud_key model field and directly interpolates the string fields gcloud_account and gcloud_project into a shell command passed to proc_open() via LeUtils::run_shell_command() without any validation or escaping. A remote authenticated user with privileges to issue or renew certificates through the WebGUI/API can achieve arbitrary code execution as root. |
| Incorrect Privilege Assignment vulnerability in Mitsubishi Electric GENESIS64 versions 10.97.3 and prior, ICONICS Suite versions 10.97.3 and prior, Hyper Historian versions 10.97.3 and prior, AnalytiX versions 10.97.3 and prior, MobileHMI 10.97.3 and prior, MC Works64 all versions, Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions GENESIS64 versions 10.97.3 and prior, ICONICS Suite versions 10.97.3 and prior, Hyper Historian versions 10.97.3 and prior, AnalytiX versions 10.97.3 and prior, and MobileHMI 10.97.3 and prior allows an attacker who can log in using the same administrator account for the affected products to launch and operate DCOM objects locally or remotely. During installation, the installers of the affected products unnecessarily grant default DCOM permissions to the administrator account of the affected products. Users with that administrator accounts can locally or remotely launch and operate DCOM objects that should require UAC elevation. As a result, the attacker may disclose, tamper with, destroy, or delete internal information, or cause the affected system to enter a denial-of-service (DoS) condition. |
| Weak Password Recovery Mechanism for Forgotten Password vulnerability in Mitsubishi Electric GENESIS versions 11.03 and prior, GENESIS64 versions 10.97.3 and prior, ICONICS Suite versions 10.97.3 and prior, Hyper Historian versions 10.97.3 and prior, AnalytiX versions 10.97.3 and prior, MobileHMI 10.97.3 and prior, IoTWorX 10.97.3 and prior, MC Works64 all versions, GENESIS32 all versions, BizViz all versions, Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions GENESIS versions 11.03 and prior, GENESIS64 versions 10.97.3 and prior, ICONICS Suite versions 10.97.3 and prior, Hyper Historian versions 10.97.3 and prior, AnalytiX versions 10.97.3 and prior, MobileHMI 10.97.3 and prior, IoTWorX 10.97.3 and prior, GENESIS32 all versions, and BizViz all versions allows a remote attacker to unlock the system by obtaining the challenge response by some means. The challenge response used to unlock the system is common to all users and fixed. As a result, the attacker may disclose, tamper with, destroy, or delete internal information, or cause the affected system to enter a denial-of-service (DoS) condition. |
| LiteSpeed Web Server (LSWS) before 6.3.7 build 1 mishandles internal redirect URL validation in a certain "corner case" of %252e%252e double decoding, letting a low-privileged tenant execute code in the context of a different account. |
| In G4KLX DStarGateway and F4FXL DStarGateway before 7b75de6, dstarCallsignToAPRS in APRSUtils.cpp has an integer underflow via an empty RS-MS1A sender field. |
| Kargo manages and automates the promotion of software artifacts. From 0.6.0 until 1.8.14, 1.9.9, and 1.10.8, two authorization flaws in the `project-scoped RBAC API` let an authenticated user with delegated permission to manage a Project's `Roles` or `ServiceAccounts` confer permissions exceeding the user's own. A user authorized to edit `Roles` can create, replace, or add rules granting permissions not held by the user; a user authorized to edit a Role's ServiceAccount can bind an identity, including the user's own, to a more powerful Role. A Kargo Role comprises a `ServiceAccount, Role, and RoleBinding` in the Project namespace. Changes are written using the API server's broadly privileged credentials after only a coarse resource-kind edit check, rather than checking each permission being conferred. This permits escalation to Project-administrator access, disclosure of `Project Secrets` and credentials, and modification or deletion of Project resources. Stolen Git, container-registry, or Helm-registry credentials can extend confidentiality and integrity impacts to those external systems. Escalation remains limited to Projects where the attacker already has RBAC-management delegation and does not itself grant cluster-wide or cross-Project access. Default non-administrator roles do not permit these operations; exploitation requires an `administrator-created custom role` granting the relevant permissions and control of an account assigned that role. This issue is fixed in versions 1.8.14, 1.9.9, and 1.10.8. |
| Kyverno from 1.17.0 before 1.19.2 contains a privilege escalation vulnerability that allows namespace-scoped tenants to modify resources in other namespaces through NamespacedMutatingPolicy targetMatchConstraints.expression CEL output lacking namespace checks. Attackers can emit a literal target such as another tenant's RoleBinding, which the cluster-wide background controller then mutates to add attacker subjects or alter Roles, NetworkPolicies, and ConfigMaps. |
| Kyverno from 1.16.0 before 1.19.2 fails to validate path segments in the resource argument of resource.get() and resource.post(), allowing namespaced CEL policies to escape their namespace. Tenants who can create a NamespacedValidatingPolicy can insert .. segments to read and write arbitrary cluster objects using the admission controller's ServiceAccount, leading to cluster takeover. |
| Kyverno from 1.19.1 before 1.19.2 validates a Policy's context.apiCall urlPath after cleaning it but executes the raw path, whose fragment or query the Kubernetes client discards. A namespace-scoped user who can create a Policy can hide ../ segments behind # or ? to reach cluster-scoped endpoints with Kyverno's ServiceAccount, gaining cluster admin. |
| Kyverno from 1.17.0 before 1.19.2 contains an authorization bypass vulnerability that allows namespace admins to escape namespace confinement because the cleanup controller builds its context loader with a nil policy. Attackers can create a namespaced CleanupPolicy with apiCall or globalReference context entries to read cross-namespace Secrets and modify validatingwebhookconfigurations using the cleanup controller's ServiceAccount. |
| Kyverno from 1.17.0 before 1.19.2 contains an authorization bypass vulnerability that allows namespace tenants to overwrite resources in other namespaces via NamespacedMutatingPolicy mutate-existing targetMatchConstraints.expression. Attackers can return a CEL map literal fabricating a target with an attacker-chosen metadata.namespace, causing the privileged background controller to overwrite Secrets, Deployments, or policies cluster-wide. |
| Kyverno before 1.19.2 contains a privilege escalation vulnerability that allows namespace admins to create resources beyond their RBAC because generate-rule admission checks verify the controller's permissions, not the author's. Attackers can create a namespaced Policy with generate rules targeting other namespaces or cluster-scoped kinds, making the background controller create or clone resources cluster-wide. |
